The infrastructure sector is undergoing a major transformation as various digital capabilities are being integrated into the built environment. Adopting digital design and construction methods, along with comprehensive asset management throughout the lifecycle, is reshaping the construction process with a strong focus on the end user.
The built environment faces numerous challenges, including environmental sustainability, seamless information exchange, cost-effectiveness, and increasingly sophisticated end-user demands. Addressing these challenges and achieving sustainability goals requires deep expertise in open Building Information Modeling (openBIM).
infraBIM Open (IBO) was established by buildingSMART Finland’s infrastructure domain in 2017. The first event was held in Tampere, Finland, in January 2018. This conference series aims to be the world’s leading openBIM event for infrastructure.
IBO is known for its welcoming atmosphere and high-quality program. Each event includes a feedback survey to gather attendees’ insights and continuously improve future events.
